Ash Wednesday – 2nd March 2022

This morning, the children and staff of THT – together with some of our friends from Mere Brow Primary visited church for Ash Wednesday.

Fr Mark and Danny led the service where the congregation were invited to come to the altar to have a cross of Ash marked on their foreheads. Ash Wednesday is important because it marks the start of the Lenten period leading up to Easter. The ashes symbolizes both death and repentance, as Lent is a time of saying sorry, and remembering that Jesus died for our sins.
This afternoon, Fr Mark popped into school to mark some more Ash Crosses for some of the children.
